This year’s CCE Workshop and ICP M&M Task Force meeting were attended by 52 delegates from 19 countries, who shared their latest findings on critical loads and related science. The first regional biodiversity based critical loads have been presented and will be used for testing scenario analyses in ECLAIRE. Twelve countries updated their critical loads for inclusion into the European database, which will be submitted to the WGE for approval for use by LRTAP bodies and for European policy support (e.g. the NEC Directive). Interesting presentation on the relation between nitrogen deposition with ozone, carbon (sequestration) and phosphorous were also given.
